January 2011 Newsletter

Hello

Happy New Year from everyone at here at Club-Sites!

Thank you for your queries over the last year, do please keep them coming, I'm here to help and sometimes one query can trigger an item for the newsletter, and sometimes an idea for the technical team to develop...

As we start a new calendar year I thought it might be helpful to include a few Club-Sites websites to show how a club is  making particularly good use of a tool - from good use of internal links to ideal use of a sidebar. (I hope the webmasters won't mind me showing off their work).

If your club isn't taking full advantage of the multi-user facility why not encourage at least one person to log in to the website and look after one page, I'm happy to help anyone as they start - either by phone or email.

Best wishes

Using pdfs and images of brochures
Sometimes you want to use a pdf of a leaflet or perhaps an image.  There are a couple of downsides to these options, find out more...

The RNIB have some useful advice and interesting information on producing websites for readers with visual impairments - from colour blindness to sight loss.  Read more on their website...
