July 2012

Hello

I often visit Club-Sites websites looking for ways to help our users, I've noticed that some of you are still not convinced of the benefits of a calendar.  So if you have decided that a calendar page isn't for you at the moment, find out how to unpublish your events diary page, but just before you do, please take a few moments to read Whats on? Where? When? below and see how other clubs are using it to their benefit.

Don't struggle with problems or worries on your website, you can ring me (office hours Monday-Friday) or email me any time and now you can find me on: Skype: juliet.browne.squarezone  I'm very happy to help you.

Your queries help us learn what is important to you the club users, they help us develop the system and refine our support.  As always the on-line support in the Tutorial is available whenever you are logged in and the our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the Club-Sites website is available all the time.

Best wishes

Juliet

Renaming a page
Sometimes it is necessary to rename a page on the menu or sub menu, or perhaps you'd like to give more information in the accompanying hover text.  Find out how...

What's on?  When?  Where?
A calendar is another opportunity for Google and the other search engines to add your event to their indexes, the more times you mention an event on your website the better.  It also provides visitors to your website with a succinct note of events later in the year.

Potential new members can also see at a glance what you get up to in a year.  Calendars are easy to maintain - see how...

Have a look at a few clubs making use of their calendars:

Whitby Art Society

Cheddar Vale Lions Club

Felbridge Bowling Club

Bedford De Parys Rotary Club

Last but not least...

Have you checked your Contact Us form recently?  It is always worth testing the system periodically - if only to check the receiver is awake!  Make use of this contact point...
