Changing the hover text for a menu item

Hover text associated with a menu item provides readers and search engine with extra information.

You can change the hover text associated with a page (main menu or sub menu) at any time.

Go to the page you want to change, click on the Rename menu icon  (second row) a new window will open with an opportunity to change the menu name, click OK to confirm that the current page name is correct (unless you are changing the page name).

 

 

A new window will now open with the current hover text:

Once you are happy with your new text click on OK.

The change will be immediately implemented.

Worth remembering

Keep the page title really short - 1 or 2 words, use the hover text to elaborate.
