Copying the contents of a page and pasting it on another

This is useful if you are re-arranging your website. 

Basically you will go to the HTML view of the original page, copy the code and then paste the code into the HTML view of the new page.

Copying the content of one page to another

First create the new page giving it an appropriate name

Now go to the page you wish to copy from, click on the View html icon 

You'll now be able to see all the HTML code that is used to create your page. Select all the text (I use Ctrl A) and copy it (Ctrl C)

Now click the View page icon  and it will change to the usual page view

Now go to the new page and select the View html icon again

There will be very little code on this page at this stage, select all the text (Ctrl A) then paste (Ctrl V) 

Now click on the View page icon

Hopefully you will now have a copy of the original page. 

Save the page and return to the main page and delete the contents as required.
