W3C Validation

What is W3C and why is it important?

W3C stands for World Wide Web Consortium.  It is an international community where member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. Led by Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee and CEO Jeffrey Jaffe, W3C's mission is to lead the Web to its full potential.

Their mission statement is:

"The social value of the Web is that it enables human communication, commerce, and opportunities to share knowledge. One of W3C's primary goals is to make these benefits available to all people, whatever their hardware, software, network infrastructure, native language, culture, geographical location, or physical or mental ability".

In short, they have established standards to ensure that all browsers can read your published pages (eg Internet Explorer, Firefox, Yahoo, MSN, etc). The Club-Sites system automatically self corrects and there shouldn't be any problems on your website.

If you edit any of the HTML on your website click the W3C logo at the bottom of the page to ensure that the page is still W3C compatible.
