The downside of using pdfs and images
It is worth bearing in mind that if you are using a pdf or an image of a leaflet a screen reader will not be able to read the details and neither will the search engines.
When you include a photograph of someone, a group or event, etc, you add hover text to describe in a few words so someone who can't see the image at least knows what the image is all about.
However, a few words aren't sufficient for a whole leaflet, so time consuming a job as it is, it is worth typing out the content of a leaflet and supplementing it with a downloadable version that readers can take away.
